Packrat's Keep (sabraather)

It’s dark, the lights dimmed through a century caked on the glass in dust and grime. The smell is the first thing anyone would notice. It is a pungent mixture of a garbage heap with mothballs and rot to accent it. If you didn't want a bath before, you'll probably want one now because you can just feel your skin begin to stick in the humid atmosphere.

Once you get past that unpleasant feeling, you'll notice right away at how much stuff there is. All sorts of treasure could be found in each direction you look in. Banquet tables creak beneath sumptuous banquets, the floor beneath littered with gnawed bones, crumbs, and rotting scraps. Broken toys are stuck with their dead batteries and screwdrivers. Random strings hang from empty spaces on the ceiling, long enough for anyone to reach.

Nothing seems organized whatsoever. It piles up to the ceiling which in turn makes tunnels inside of a single room. There's a tunnel to your left, a tunnel to your right, and a tunnel in front of you.

[nope but if you peek through some of the empty jars, you might notice a small gap near the jars filled with dead things]

[ ... well maybe I'll mix up some of the stuff in jaws anyway. Or put like. The liquid of the jars of dead things in with jars of food things. Perfect awful trick, right??? ]

[ But yes, only spending a moment on that before investigating the gap!! ]

[um wow kids these days are so rude and spoiled, parents should look after them better :/]

[you'll come across a small tunnel that you can probably fit into if you get down on your hands and knees and crawl, but it sounds kind of murky and smells pretty awful]

[ ... well I haven't found another way to advance. If I breathe through my mouth it will probably be okay!! Hitching the plastic bag of things around his shoulders and settling down to crawl through. ]

[the further you crawl, the more humid the tunnels get. Sometimes the walls end up being sharp needles while further down, it ends up with rotted sludge. One thing is for sure, it isn't exactly the safest thing to crawl through.

At some point, you'll eventually be crawling over broken glass, oops.]

[ THANK GOODNESS I AM WEARING GLOVES? Though yeah, that doesn't stop his clothes of the plastic bag on his back getting a little torn up, nor some unlucky scratches on his palms when the glass juts through. Cal pauses, taking the time to try and sweet the glass aside, but this is still not exactly comfortable... still, it's not like he can back up easily either, so forward is the only direction he can go. ]

[eventually you reach the end and in the rotting meat wall, you'll find something shiny poking through]

[ ...grabbing the shiny thing, trying not to gag at the smell so close! ]

[you're gonna have dig to get it out]

[ ... tiny fingers vs rotting meat wall... at least he is wearing the gloves still, yeah, so it's not as completely disgusting as it could be! Digging the shiny thing out with some effort. ]

[ ... now how do I get out. Can I turn around and go back, or is there still mores a way forward. ]

[nope, you're just gonna have to move backwards :')]

[ ... HRRRRRF at least my back is mostly protected, though at some point a can is definitely going to fall out of the even more torn up bag and make my life more difficult as I try going backwards!! ]

[you might end up hitting a needle or two OOPS but hey, at least you're out]

[ Out and bleeding and covered in terrible scratches!!! Gathering up the dropped can though into his... extremely filthy uniform at this point, and moving back to the central tunnel. Trying not to let the pain get to him, s...sigh!!! This isn't turning out to be as fun as first expected. ]

[ INDEED. Either way, quickly picking out as best of a change of clothes as possible, and using some of the more rag like items as make-shift bandages, before putting on a heavy jacket. The bandages are a bit of a shoddy job though, about as good as you would expect from a tiny preteen boy. Oh well. ]

[ And then he tries to make a better, sturdier bag out of an oversized sweater and tie it around himself. This... goes a lot better than the bandages idea, at least? ]

[ Who is now going to try unlocking the door with his new key. :U ]

[ ... now the question is should I take the key and lock the door behind me. :') Well. Opening the door first! ]

[IT OPENS, and you now see a giant stack of STUFF that almost seems to make stairs :o]

[ Well I will take back the key but I will be nice and not lock or close the door as I go up the stairs. ]
